When Job started questioning God for all his hardships, God responds much like a football coach or commanding officer.
Who is this that darkens counsel. By words without knowledge?
“Now gird up your loins like a man, and I will ask you, and you instruct Me!"
(Job 38: 1-3)
God might as well have told Job to "drop and give me fifty!"
Scripture teaches us we should not trust our own fears and worries, which are fleeting. Instead we are called to honor and trust God in all we do.
When I humble myself and remember the faithfulness of God, I no longer see my troubles. God miraculously rescues me. He places people in my life who undergird me, men and women who see my potential even while I am in the pit. God loves me with extravagance and " this light momentary affliction is preparing for me an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison!"

His love cures all my disappointments. He proves that His plan is better than my plan. We are never whole until we accept His embrace. It will never look like what we think, but it will always be glorious. I am thankful today, even while I wrestle with my hardships.
