He's Human?

I experienced some shock earlier in April. I was talking about my Beloved Jesus, and I entered into a conversation about Christ's humanity. Even now, I am hoping I simply misunderstood my friends' beliefs.
We were talking about the Resurrection and the ascension. I was adamant that Jesus is still human now. My friends asserted that Jesus was fully human during His earthly ministry, but when He rose from the grave, He put away His humanity. I was baffled that my friend would think that Jesus is no longer human. From what I have read, Jesus's bodily resurrection is central to the salvation message. I fully understand that Jesus's resurrected body is imperishable and renewed, but it is STILL human.
That is the hope of the Gospel. Am I wrong? I left the conversation almost breathless. My mind was spinning. How can evangelical Christians not believe this? Am I the only one who thinks this is essential? I mean Jesus didn't morph into another being, did He?
I looked at some scripture and found only more mystery. I have been considering 1 Corinthians 15, and it has baffled me.
I have often rejoiced at the thought of my resurrected body, especially after hearing some life-transforming sermons given by Allen Hood (A LINK TO BUY THE SERIES). After listening to Allen Hood, it would be hard for me to believe that my resurrected body would not be human. I currently believe that Jesus is still human. I think this is central to the gospel, but now I feel like I should study this more.

What do my readers think? Any theologians out there?
