Direction

God doesn't show us the whole picture. He gives us hints. He'll tell us to start walking the path, but we don't know where the path leads. He requires faith and trust.

After high school, I lacked goals. I often heard the pep talks! If you want to be successful, you need goals. I had passions, but no goals.

I left Taylor University for a season because I needed a specific reason to return. I was attending college because I enjoyed learning, not because I had a plan. I wanted a degree to fuel my future career. For this to happen, I needed to KNOW my future career. I prayed for direction and focus. It fell in my lap. God has given me more than a hint. I have a specific goal!

My goal is to overcome injustice, using theatre as a means of fundraising. I will start with an investigation of an injustice: interviewing those affected or involved, research any pertinent facts, understand the context and culture surrounding the injustice. Then I will create a skit or full production to expose the injustice. After the production, I will inform the audience of my research and connections. I will encourage the audience to fund organizations or make their own efforts to stop the injustice.

This type of career matches me! God has gifted me in various areas and this type of career will use all those talents! I am grateful that God answered my prayer for direction!
