I am growing in my understanding of mental illness. It is still mysterious and dark. However, I know God is still in control. I joyfully remember that even Mary Magdalene had an affliction of seven demons and was delivered from them all. She was one of the witnesses of Jesus's resurrection. She must have experienced deep darkness before her deliverance. Nevertheless, her testimony is a glorious one.
The Bible even speaks of a man oppressed by demonic powers. He was cast into fire and water (Mark 9:14-27). This happened from his childhood. Could you imagine being a parent and watching your young child convulse and fall into fire or water? It sounds like a hopeless situation. However, Jesus was able to bring peace to the situation.
I know that every "death" that is surrendered to Christ will have a resurrection. God's plan is to deliver from death. God's plan is to give me a testimony. Every darkness. Every lie. Every attack. Every wound. Every false accusation. Every loss. They will all be rectified and made right. God will bring justice to every situation.
However, there will be pain and difficulty before the deliverance. Every trial we face will bring us closer to God. Continue in your trial because God is with you. He was a man of suffering. He was a man who was despised and rejected. To know His joy, you must also know His suffering. Don't despise the trial. It teaches us about our Savior's struggles. It lets us know His heart. It gives us the ability to attain resurrection power through suffering.
Philippians 3:8-12
8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— 10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
