SI

SI-Sexual immorality. Our culture is saturated in sexual immorality. I am not speaking about the secular world only. The church is known for compromise, deception, and failure.

I have been lulled to sleep by the entertainment industry. My eyes have seen evil, my ears have heard evil, and my heart has craved evil. Often I wasn't expecting to see such dirt, but this ignorance still led me to sin. I HATE these subtle traps. As I realize this compromise, I am attempting to be radical in my commitment.

I am attempting to trash all the shows, avoid all the conversations, and consecrate myself. But, the problem is everywhere! You can't send an e-mail without seeing the trashy junk mail. You can't relax in front of the TV without seeing an immoral commercial. Those catchy tunes on the radio love to feed demonic influences as well.

Ever since I was a little girl I have been sensitive to this issue. I have a deep need to feel pure. I feel polluted with every slight compromise. This desire for purity will motivate many of my future actions and prayers. Stop tolerating it church!

Sometime the truth hurts, but in reality the truth will hurt worse if we ignore it.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (New International Version)
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
