When God called me to transfer to a new school, a school not in Fort Wayne, I was confused. I had built relationships with an amazing community who supported my pursuit of Christ. I wanted to stay in Fort Wayne because I knew God was about to release a mighty move in that community.
I knew this move was going to involve the children. I strongly believed that God had raised up young adults who would rear children in radical abandonment and supernatural power. I see my friends nurturing their children in a lifestyle of prayer, fasting, and worship. The next generation is going to be divided in two groups; this generation will be disciples of Christ or disciples of the world.
God has His eyes on the generation after us. The fathers and the mothers, who are young adults now, ARE an integral part. The Generation X forerunners are feeding their children the recipe for power, boldness, and freedom.
I don't completely understand why God has called me to remain single when the obvious charge is to rear children in the ways of the Lord. But, I think my calling will directly relate to the call for consecration. My decision to stay single will encourage the younger generation to find their full satisfaction in Christ.
