In Him

People say that everyone wants happiness, but people don't want happiness. They want satisfaction. Happiness is not proper in all instances, but satisfaction is applicable to every situation.
Jesus understood this concept. He knew that to satisfy the guilt of sin, He had to die on the cross and rise again. Satisfaction is true pleasure. Satisfaction is living within the laws of God. Satisfaction is knowing you belong to Him.
I am satisfied in God. I want Him to delight in me as well. I glorify His name on this earth. The worship within me is satisfied. Worship has various levels: pure joy, eternal ache, intimacy, celebration, exultation, humility, longing, and unspeakable glory. I find satisfaction in the layers of God. I find true fellowship in my honesty and His revelation.
This is why suffering is emphasized in scripture. It makes the gold precious. It makes the journey an adventure. It tests our faith. It test our desire for Him. In the agony of this life, you realize true satisfaction is found in Him.
Jesus did everything to satisfy the human race. He loved us when we were unlovable. He dressed us in fine clothes, instead of rags. God satisfies everything and that doesn't require our happiness, it requires our devotion.
