Pay Me Back

This world owes me money. I have been a slave to its system: a system I never supported in the first place. When King David was ruler, he saw the value in worship. He used government funds to support those who reverently worshiped God.

Worship is no longer considered a valuable commodity. We gather and worship with no consideration of the value of it. We never consider that our worship has tangible value.
Honestly, my reverence and fear of worship is growing, and it has made me realize how this world's system has robbed the temple of God.

There may be a market for worship in the form of CD’s or mp3’s. This is a small glimpse of God’s kingdom breaking out. However, the worship of God can’t be limited to these mediums. His house will be a house of prayer and his priest should be supported in their ministry.

I realize that some intercessory missionaries are raising their own support. They have the favor of God and man on their ministry. However, I don't think my lack of funds correlates with an unblessed calling. It comes down to the church's' inability to see the need for the gift. Less people are praying and worshiping in the house of prayer because they can no longer afford the lifestyle. Worship is no longer valued by others, and this is a tragedy.

I wasted my life on God, and I don't regret a moment of it. I will not require anything from any man. I will not be a burden, but I will require that others consider this question: do you think money given to the poor is more proper than money given to a pure worshiper? There are funds for the kingdom. Everything is proper in its time. Sometimes you are called to fund a missionary to the poor. Sometimes you are called to fund someone who ardently worships God.

Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came up to him with an alabaster flask of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he reclined at table. And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? For this could have been sold for a large sum and given to the poor.” But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a beautiful thing to me. For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me. In pouring this ointment on my body, she has done it to prepare me for burial. Truly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”
