Malachi 4:6

Have you ever experienced a church breakup? Have you ever broken faith with a brother or sister in Christ? Have you ever been wounded by Christians who bicker? I assume most of you have... because it is inevitable.

It is all about a choice. A church can embrace unity. A church can give grace to those who are young in the faith. Humans can embrace Romans 12:1-5. It is a choice. We must remind ourselves that life is short. Bickering, back-biting, and judgemental attitudes rob us of our ability to love and give grace.

I am currently witnessing a community in battle. I make attempts to bridal my tongue. I try not to get involved. I try to be the neutral party. But, when a family member hurts another family member, I find myself hurt and defensive.

The truth is…my heart is wounded. It is crushed. It is disillusioned. Why body of Christ, why? You come to the altar and you have an altercation with your brother. This should not be so! (Matthew 5:20-24)
