Dealing with Division

When there is a dispute within the body of Christ, I will NOT take sides. Some may suggest that such an action is faltering between two opinions. However, I believe in absolutes. The absolute I believe is written in Isaiah: "All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him." (Isaiah 53:6)

I think my decisions to avoid the "fight" makes some Christians uneasy. Many Christians have shared their views, and gave scripture to support their claims. I don't mind listening. I might even agree with them. But, I will not denounce someone's faith just because I think I know some truth. I don't know anything apart from Christ and Him crucified.

Recently a divide within my Christian community has disrupted my relationships with people I admire deeply. My desire to know or proclaim the truth comes second to my desire to love my sisters and brothers in Christ.
